Have you heard of a Kouign Amann? I sure hadn’t, not until about two years ago when a cute little French bakery opened in my old neighborhood and my bestie told me I needed to try one, I believe her words were, “Kels, it’s like a stick of butter and bread, totally your thing.” I can’t say she’s wrong. Needless to say I tried it, loved it, and now feel like all is right with the world. Two years and a new neighborhood later and word on the street is there’s a new kouign amann in town and it is claiming to be the best. Well, after a little bit of investigation I can indeed confirm the rumors are true. It is the best. The best kouign amann I’ve ever had. The best baked good I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and put b. patisserie on your list. It will absolutely rock your world.
