Cafe St Jorge

For some reason when I share my most loved restaurant experiences on the blog I tend to feel like I’m writing for out of towners visiting SF for a weekend. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I’m often imagining where I would take certain friends or family members when they come visit. I don’t know. But this place, Cafe St Jorge, this felt like a true neighborhood cafe for the locals. Funny enough it’s rather inconvenient from my house but close to the only large home improvement store in the city. So last weekend when I decided to be the most productive human on the planet I started my day at Cafe St Jorge and couldn’t have been happier about it. I will admit I text my girlfriend telling her this would be our brunch spot next time she is in town, but I also thought about how excited I am to visit again on a weekend morning. See you soon, Cafe St Jorge!

A gem in the middle of a slightly rough but up and coming neighborhood

A sign it was going to be a great day…a random wedding picture (I didn’t even realize we had any printed out!) fell out of my new book

I ordered the Cocoa Almond Bliss (expensive taste) but next time I would definitely go Apple Oats

Two of the highly acclaimed toasts…avocado with lemon juice, chili flake and sea salt & cashew cream cheese with fig, honey and cracked black pepper, both on gluten free sourdough bread

Such a warm and welcoming spot, the people working here were just lovely and they had so many awesome dietary accommodations (vegan, dairy free, gluten free)
