Jane Fonda, anyone? I’m totally serious. I love me a good home workout video. I remember doing the grapevine with Jane in the 90’s, some Billy Blanks Tae Bo with a bunch of girlfriends in my sorority and I even owned an actual step for step aerobics for the majority of my adult life (two of them to be exact). It’s a good thing I don’t get embarrassed very easily! Haha! Anyway, my point is I’m one of those rare birds who can actually manage to workout at home. I enjoy classes at gyms too but for about 7 years now I have been an avid Tracy Anderson follower because I love her style of workout and mentality on staying fit. Her method is based on engaging your accessory muscles and uses your own body weight and small hand or leg weights to strengthen and tone without over bulking your large muscles. Since practicing my body has felt balanced and strong and I feel/look the most proportioned I have ever been. Tracy’s method isn’t for everyone but in doing it for so long now I have discovered a handful of her short videos online I rely on whenever I am traveling or wanting a quick workout and don’t have her DVDs handy. Most are mat videos focused on muscular structure work and there is a ridiculous but crazy effective cardio treadmill video at the end (her DVD cardio is all dance based). If you try and like these you can check out more at her website HERE. She just launched a new live streaming program I am totally obsessed with because it is kicking my butt and changes up the routine every week by allowing you access to her classes in the studio. Hope you find a few of these helpful and good luck getting your sweat on! Oh, and if you are needing a bit of motivation to get going just remember you never regret working out, the hardest part is getting started. You can do it!!!
