Have you heard of the Off the Grid events in San Francisco? They are truly one of my favorite things to do in the city. Weekly events (depending on the time of year) are thrown in different cool locations around SF featuring food trucks and food stands with local flare and amazing grub. IT IS HEAVEN. My version of heaven, at least. I’ve been to several of the different formats – OTG in the Marina on Friday night is more of a party vibe, OTG in the Presidio on Sunday is families and millions of kids – but I only just recently heard about the event held on Thursday nights in the Presidio called Off the Grid Twilight. Same concept, fewer vendors. Just the food trucks, live music, fire pits, cabanas and lawn chairs. Lucky for me the Twilight events fall on Thursdays so it ended up being the perfect excuse to do something fun on my birthday. We met a few friends to kick back and soak up a beautiful (and shockingly not very windy) San Francisco night. I will most definitely be doing this again.

Oh, and sorry for the lack of foodie pics…apparently I was too busy eating to snap more than one. Highly recommend The Chairman steamed buns and chips as well as the crab sandwich from The Crab Lab.

Arrived at our spot and setting up shop before friends arrive…pro tip: you can bring your own alcohol!
