Cold Buster Tea

It sure seems like everyone I know is in some stage of sickness. Whether getting over it or coming down with it, when you’re the one dealing with the nasty crud your days can feel really long and tough. There’s been at least four times in the last few months I’ve been on the verge of sickness but thanks to rest, some extra clean eating and added cold busters I’ve managed to escape it. If you happen to be in any stage of sickness this cold buster tea is LEEEGGIT. First of all, it reminds me of the lemon flavored Luden’s “cough drops” (let’s be real, more like candy, love them)…delicious! More importantly this tea is made of nature’s best medicinal goodies, lemon, ginger and honey. It also couldn’t be easier to make. Thinly slice up a lemon and a piece of ginger about the same size (no need to peel either) and cover with 1 cup of honey. Seal with a lid and let sit in the fridge overnight. Stir up and add a tablespoon of the liquid to a mug of hot water and you’ve got yourself a cup of cold buster tea sure to make you feel back to your normal self in no time.

  1. I made this and took it to work after it had been in the fridge for 4 day. Made a cup for one of our staff who has been fighting bronchitis. She loved it! In fact, she took it home wih her. I’ll have to make another batch!
