Bar Tartine

My perfect bite.

My perfect bite.

A city like San Francisco is meant to be explored to the fullest and in my opinion the best way to do that is to eat your way through town. There are more restaurants than you could ever get to and new hot spots popping up every single day. I want to go to all of them. No really, every-single-one. The more I explore the more I realize one of the best ways to do so is by popping in, sitting at the bar and enjoying a few small shared plates. Easy, less expensive than a full meal and a great way to taste the food. If it’s good, GREAT! You just had a fun little app and gabfest with a friend. If it’s out of this world, you know it’s a spot to go back and have a proper dinner. I recently stopped into Bar Tartine and shared a few small bites with a friend. Needless to say (I meeeeaaann just look at that trout on toast) I will be going back.

Ok, this made me laugh. I was trying to capture the beautiful bar but instead I got a sassy look. Sorry dude!, hope you enjoyed your meal.

This gentleman making the toasts in the kitchen was the most focused person I have ever seen. And not surprising, my toast was perfect.
