I recently learned something important, the difference between ‘organic’ and ‘sustainable’. Do you know they are different? I sure didn’t, and now that I do I can tell you that sustainability is so critically important to protecting our planet and living life in a more gentle and environmentally friendly way. Most of what I have learned about sustainability has come from the winery I work for. They are leading the charge in the efforts to make Sonoma County 100% sustainable by 2019 and I couldn’t be more proud. Yesterday was Earth Day, and if you didn’t have a chance to honor this great planet we live on in some way, may I suggest taking a moment to educate yourself on the importance of sustainability with the articles below.

Organic vs Sustainable – what are the differences?
Sonoma County leads the California charge to be 100% sustainable!
These pictures are from an educational vineyard tour I was a part of to learn about all the different elements that go into Sonoma’s sustainability efforts. Let me tell you it is extensive and impressive. Also, keep your eyes peeled for the Compass Green Project, a mobile greenhouse garden on wheels helping to educate kids about practical farming and sustainability around the country. An incredible project you can read more about here.
Nice photos
Thank you! Sonoma is as beautiful as it gets.
