Favorite Things

It’s time for the second installment of some of my Favorite Things. Just call me Oprah! I promise this won’t always be all food related but I just can’t help myself, when I find good foodie finds I just have to share. These are all great but just so you know, the Chile Crunch is LIIIIFFFFFFEEEEE CHAANNNGGGIIINNNGGGG!!!!!!!!!!! (in Oprah voice)

CHILE CRUNCH (pictured above)
I happened upon a sample of Chile Crunch on my first trip to Dean & Deluca last month and my life has never been the same. This is the real deal, my friends. Spicy hot from the chiles but just enough to make you want to keep going back for more. The weirdest part is it actually does have a crunch thanks to the dried chiles and garlic and I am not kidding when I say it makes everything better. Top veggies, roasted chicken, grilled fish, dip tortilla chips, top crackers or sprinkle into eggs or pasta. You owe it to yourself to try this because it will make you really happy, I promise. You can order some here.

GO RAW ORGANIC SUPER LEMON COOKIES
Anything lemon is alright by me and these healthy cookies get two thumbs up. I’m not a big sweets person and I try to avoid sugar as much as possible so I was thrilled to find these little treats to curb a very random sweet tooth I had one day. They are made with coconut, sesame seeds, dates and lemon oil that have been dehydrated to retain their nutrients. The dates add the sweetness while the seeds and coconut add the crunch. There are other flavors of Go Raw cookies but these are my absolute favorites (carrot cake and chocolate are great too!). Give them a try if you need a sweet treat but are trying to avoid the sugar crash. You can find them at most grocery stores in the health food section or by the granola bars. (heads up: I think the packaging might be changing so just make sure to check the ingredients)
