When I started A Touch of Lovely I was desperate for an artistic outlet. That desire paired with more free time than I’m used to and (without any plan to do so) I found myself posting something every single day. I look back and I’m not quite sure how the heck that happened but it did and I’m proud of myself for what this space has become. I put a lot of thought and energy into the content I share because I always want this to be a source you can trust. Whether it’s for a restaurant recommendation, a healthy recipe for your next dinner party that you know will taste good too or simply to take a quick break from work to look at some pretty pictures, my hope is that it feels authentic, light, inspirational and done with love. Because it is, and in the last year has become a true passion in my life.
All of that said I have to admit that as of late it has become increasingly difficult to balance with work, life and other hobbies I like to do. My sweet husband has stayed up way too late waiting for me to finish up my post for the next day just a few too many times and I don’t want this ever to feel like a chore or obligation because I love it too much. So, I just want to let you know that although the posts might not come every day moving forward they are still going to come on a very regular basis and I am even more dedicated to this space than the day I started it.
Also, and most importantly, thank you for being interested. I have such a deep appreciation for the connection this blog has given me to so many people, some old friends and some new, who take an interest in what I have to say. I promise there is much more to come and I can’t wait to share it with you. Happy Wednesday!
Glad to hear you’re going to continue blogging! I know exactly how you feel, though. Sometimes life just takes over and it’s hard to post as often as you might like. I just went about 2 weeks without posting just because I couldn’t seem to find the time. Post whenever you can; your readers will still be here 🙂
Chris, you’re a doll! Thank you for such sweet words of encouragement. They are very much appreciated.
